Golf

Veteran-focused golf program promotes physical, mental wellness through outdoor activity.

Our chapter leverages the restorative and healing benefits of golf to support the well-being of our members. Through regular collaborations with programs like PGA HOPE and local golf courses, we offer veterans an opportunity to engage in this beneficial activity.

Why Golf?

Golf is a sport that offers numerous benefits for both physical and mental health:

  1. Physical Activity: Walking 18 holes can equate to over 10,000 steps, promoting a healthy lifestyle.
  2. Outdoor Enjoyment: Enjoy the natural beauty and Vitamin D while playing on beautiful courses.
  3. Mental Challenge: Golf enhances concentration, creativity, focus, and accuracy by challenging players in unique ways.
  4. Social Interaction: The game fosters camaraderie and connection with fellow veterans and community members.

These benefits make golf an excellent activity for veterans seeking physical exercise and mental relaxation.

Our Program

We introduce new members and participants to chapter officers and members who find healing through golf. We learn, practice, and play together as the chapter looks for group opportunities through its community partners. We encourage all veterans in the community to join us and experience the benefits of this sport. Regular events, outings, and programs are designed to be accessible and enjoyable for all skill levels.
